The Border Route will give you a taste of the most beautiful spots in Kerkrade and the surrounding area. The meandering Worm River, where beavers and kingfishers make their homes. The lovely Anstel Valley with the Cranenweyer, the only reservoir in the Netherlands. And you'll also see fascinating sights, like Schacht Nulland (a former mine shaft), the old church in Eygelshoven and the Water Tower in Rimburg. There are plenty of lovely terraces along the way where you can stop for a break. The starting point is Rolduc Abbey, where you can park your car. From there, follow these cycling junctions: 20 > 22 > 42 > 35 > 36 > 61 > 62 > 63 > 64 > 65 > 40 > 41 > 109 > 46 > 43 > 44 > 3 > 20.
